Camera purchases :D

Hey everyone

I wanted to let you all know I'm making progress buying my Canon EOS 350D/Digital Rebel XT!

Last night I talked to Mike (

Kurlowski) about the kitlens, and I decided to buy the body and use a different lens. Mike and I went through some lenses and came to the conclusion that the Sigma 28mm F1.8 EX DG ASPHERICAL MACRO would be a great choice for me. It's a good allround lens and not too pricy.

I am buying another lens when I have the money for it. Currently I'm waiting for my salary so I can order the 350D/XT body

I'm hoping of getting the money tomorrow, that way I can probably get all parts before Saturday!

I also ordered a 2GB CF card from Kingston. I like that brand and they had a high price~MB ratio. The CF card is expected to arrive on thursday, haven't heard anything about the lens yet.

I'll keep everyone posted on my progress

Can't really give you much advice as I'm a newbie myself with lenses. Mike seems to know his stuff, though. Congrats on your new purchases. Let's see some photos!

check out that site and fredmiranda forums for lens reviews. the good thing is that it has 9 blades, good bokeh.
but may i ask what you would ever want a wide angle macro for?
